The first issue of the sixth volume of the journal SOCIETAS ET IURISPRUDENTIA offers a total of eight separate scientific studies, one scientific essay as well as one information in four different languages – in the English, German, Czech and Slovak languages. Within the section “Studies” the first study offers readers a very complex and detailed view of the basic key features of legal regulations of tax incentives for small businesses in post-socialist countries. The following study thoroughly analyses, streamlines and exemplarily explains the issues of the status of agreement on deductions from salaries and other incomes in the enforcement law of the Czech Republic. The third study concentrates on a very detailed systematic clarification as well as in-depth analysis of the questions of the crime of theft from the point of view of the Slovak judicial practice. The next study offers readers systematic and thorough qualifying and clarifying of the key questions of the labour law regulation of the employee control and the employee monitoring in the Czech Republic. The fifth study presents, streamlines, analyses in detail and clarifies the issues of the illegal employment in the Slovak Republic in the context of the current changes to the legislation concerning the employer’s registration duty. The following study very precisely analyses, deeply explains and compares the institutes of securing the rights and obligations in the Slovak labour law. The seventh study offers the reader an extensive in-depth commentary on the questions of the formation of marriage according to the Slovak legal order. The final, eighth study deals with a precise analysis and clarification of the institute of the culpability in criminal participation from the point of view of the Slovak criminal law. The following scientific essay offered in the new issue is interdisciplinarily devoted to the issues of the so-called “voluntary tax compliance”. The final section “Information” brings a summarising report on the international scientific conference entitled “Labour Law in the Digital Age”, held on November 6th, 2017.
