The fourth issue of the seventh volume of the journal SOCIETAS ET IURISPRUDENTIA offers a total of eight separate scientific studies written in four different languages – in the English, Russian, German and Slovak languages. The very first study offers readers a very complex and detailed view of significance and application of the environmental legal doctrine and related legislation on the example of comparison of decisive cases of the drinking water pollution in the United States of America and the Russian Federation. The following study thoroughly analyses, streamlines and exemplarily explains the issues of the relationship between the pre-trial detention and the labour law relations within the legal order of the Slovak Republic. The third study concentrates on a very detailed systematic clarification as well as in-depth analysis of the questions of the legal governance of professional athletics in the Czech Republic. The next study offers readers systematic and thorough qualifying and clarifying of the key questions related to the gifts to a dowry from the point of view of their legal regulation in the Roman law. The fifth study presents, streamlines, analyses in detail and clarifies the issues of the mental health and the protection of integrity of an individual as a personal right within the fundamental human rights. The following study very precisely analyses and deeply explains the question of effectiveness of the resolution of neighbourhood disputes by the application of ordering the sale of flat or non-residential premises in a block of flats under the Slovak Act of the Ownership of Flats. The seventh study offers the reader an extensive in-depth commentary on the questions related to the concept of long-term in the context of the criminal offense of dangerous pursuing under the criminal law of the Slovak Republic. The final, eighth study deals with a precise analysis and clarification of the impacts of new technologies on mental health of employees, especially from the point of view of the legal order of the Slovak Republic.
