The fourth issue of the fourth volume of the journal SOCIETAS ET IURISPRUDENTIA offers a total of eight separate scientific studies as well as one review of notable scientific publication in three different languages – in the English, Czech, and Slovak languages. Within the section “Studies” the first study offers readers very broadly, systematically, and in detail the questions of discrimination in pre-contractual relations and its solving within the labour law according to the current European Court of Justice case law. The following study thoroughly analyses, streamlines, and exemplarily explains the issues of the vicarious liability under the paragraph 2914 of the new Czech Civil Code. The third study accurately analyses and simultaneously clarifies fundamental questions related to the process of enhancing the rights of beneficiaries, with regard to the hardware and software progress of the Czech social security administration. The following study concentrates on a very detailed systematic clarification as well as in-depth analysis of the questions of current legal arrangement of the Arctic in the context of relevant rules of international public law. The fifth study analyses in detail, streamlines, and clarifies the protection function of the Slovak labour law in the collective labour law relations from the view of relevant labour law and criminal law aspects of a strike. The following study offers readers qualifying and clarifying the key questions of legislation in the field of violence on workplace according to the current Spanish legal order, with the special accent laid on the issue of mobbing. The seventh study is devoted to socially determining questions of the role and place of the police in society and in the State, interpreted from the view of actual key legal and interdisciplinary contexts. The last study offers basic legislative facts relating to the criminal liability connected with applying the Facebook reaction buttons inducing hate speech according to the legal order of the Slovak Republic. The section “Reviews”, placed at the end, offers readers review of a new unique, in the English language written collective scientific monograph aimed at so-called euro crimes in the legal systems of the Czech Republic and of the Slovak Republic.
